Billinge FC caters for children from the locality & surrounding areas, ranging from ages 5 to 17 years old. Upon reaching this age players are invited to trial for our 2 open age teams who play in the Mid Cheshire League.

We currently have over 250 children and adults playing in our Mini Soccer, Junior and Open Age Sections. Each season we hope to increase in numbers and to provide football for the community as we expand.

All of our Team Managers & coaches have under taken at least the F.A. Junior Team Manager qualification or FA Level 1 Coaching Certificate & are able to give the players expert football coaching.

All of the Team Managers & coaches give up their time voluntarily, as they are committed to providing an enjoyable community service to local children.

Under 6 ’s to Under 10’s participate in small sided games “Mini Soccer” as stipulated by the FA. This is in order to improve player’s skill work, ball control and the technical ability of the player, which in turn gives them more confidence.

Under 8’s to Under 10’s are all entered into the Rainhill Junior League, playing Mini Soccer. Under 6’s and 7’s will enjoy an hour and a half’s fun training every week, to introduce them to Football.

Once reaching U 11, they will enter the Wigan and District Youth League, playing 11 a side for the first time. We recognise the changing needs of the players and the more competitive element of the 11 a side game, so therefore players may have to trial for League places and may have to compete for squad places on match days by showing their commitment and ability at training sessions

At the age of 17, players can trial for our 2 open age teams who play in the Mid Cheshire League. This is a very high standard of Amateur Football and we are proud of the achievements of all our players who go on to play at this level.
