Billinge were a touch unfortunate not to come away with at least a point from this fixture. They took a lead midway through the first half whilst playing downhill and should really have taken a couple of other good chances to extend their lead.
As the teams turned around then Town Green pushed on and scored 2 goals from 2 rare defensive errors to take the lead. Billinge rallied and a header from Jake S made it 2-2 with Billinge looking the more likely victors. At 2-2 Billinge were denied a blatant penalty and minutes later poor marking from a corner allowed Town Green to snatch the victory.
A good performance but it just wasn't our day!
