U13 1 v Golborne 5
This started as a very good close match, with both sides playing good competitive football particularly in the first half.
We took a 1 -0 lead into half time with a great goal by Nick, who controlled the ball with his head and hit a long distance shot into the top corner. Jack, Mike, Luke and Myles all had a good half.
The 2nd half degenerated, due to some very unusual applications of the offside rule by the linesman, with Golborne scoring 3 quick goals, which was a shame as up to then it was an enjoyable match.
