U13 1 v Millfields 1
With both sides missing a number of players, this turned into a bit of a scrappy game.
Our usual failings of being unable to convert chances and being 2nd to the loose balls didn’t help our cause.
Millfields pass the ball well and have a couple of outstanding players, in particular their Central Defender and Left Midfielder.
The first half was to and fro without either side really gaining any dominance
We scored the first goal with one of our few passing moves, Luke laid the ball off to Tom H, who put a great pass through the centre of Millfields defence for Mike to run onto and slot under the advancing goalie.
We thought that we could hold out till half time, but a failure to close down the player with the ball resulted in Millfields shooting from the edge of the box to equalize.

Millfields had most of the pressure in the 2nd half, with Jez playing well in nets (his first time there). Saying that we had the most clear cut chances but couldn’t convert them.
The last 5 minutes were frantic with Millfields having the majority of the play, but we managed to hold out for a deserved 1-1 draw.
