U11's 3 v Downhall Green 5

This was a game that could have gone either way right up until the last kick of the match when Downall Green scored to make it 5-3.

Billinge were asleep from the off and got caught by conceding a very early goal. However they battled their way back into the game with some lovely work from James R and a good finish from Sam B-F levelling the game. Billinge now carved out a host of chances and a combination of good saves and poor finishing kept the game level. Billinge conceded again near the end of the half to go in trailing 2-1.

Billinge took the game to Downall Green in the second half, and with a converted penalty and a goal from Jake S, found themselves 3-2 in the lead and looking favourites to win the game. Unfortunately the makeshift back four, due to regular sweeper Matt P being on holiday, struggled to cope and conceded 3 times in the last ten minutes to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
