Downhall Green 3 v U12's 7
Having been newly promoted to Division 1 this season, Billinge U12s literally got off to a flying start with James R scoring within 30 seconds of the kick off.
Downall Green pulled level with a well taken headed goal from a corner before Billinge forged into a 3-1 lead with some great play.
Poor defending from a corner and a long range speculative effort somehow pulled Downall Green back into the game with the score ending up 3-3 at half time.
The second half saw complete domination by Billinge and but for several outstanding saves from the Downall Green keeper, the score would have been much higher.
Jake S scored a fine hatrick to win the much deserved MOM award, and Russell A scored a fine debut goal.
All in all a great start to the season!
