Horwich 0 v U15's 0
How we didn’t score in this game is a complete mystery. We played a lot better than we did last week against Horwich. We passed-and-moved, worked hard, tackled back, created chances, wanted the ball. We did everything apart from put the ball in the net!
From Ryan & Jack, alternate halves, in net through to the midfield & onto upfront we played very very well. Both keepers made good saves & did all the extras superbly well! Alex had an excellent game at the back after, what I thought, was a disappointing game for him last week at Hindley. Well done Alex!
Jordan, Tom & Jonny also played well. Probably one of the best defensive performances of the season to date. Good job lads!
Mike had a good game in midfield again as did Craig, a new signing who we put on in the 2nd half. Looks as though he could be a good asset to the team. Matt T got involved a lot more on the left in this game & was unfortunate not to properly latch onto a volley which could have opened the scoring.
Usual game from the 3 we swap round upfront, Joe, Tomo & Kris. Joe had 2 great chances but it didn’t go his way & their keeper saved. Kris & Tomo battled & tackled hard but never seemed to get the run of the ball.
Overall just one of them games. Lots of knocking on doors but none opening. Well done lads a good performance!
One last thing, if you’ve noticed I haven’t called the ref this game. He wasn’t bad this time. We’ve had him before & he made some bad decisions but this time he was ok. He tried to play the advantage & let the game flow. I DON’T LIKE HIM, but he was ok.
So off home , stroke the dog, horlicks & all that family stuff instead of going tot’ pub & crucifying the Ref, signing new players etc…
