Springview 5 v U15's 1
We were well-up for this from the word go & were the best team for the first 20 mins. Jack didn’t have much to do but did well what he had.
We had several chances on goal putting them on the back foot. Then, in the space of about 5 mins, they get 2 goals from 2 blatant offsides (ref apologises for these after the game? – thanks).
The lads heads go down but they keep battling. Credit to them they never gave up & we were still the best side. We get a pen before half time & go in at 3 -1 down but I still believe that, if they play as they have been, were still in with a chance in the 2nd half.
We’re still the best side in the 2nd half & then their 12th man gets involved again. You guessed it, about 6 yards offside. Now we’re 4 – 1 down & I’m losing the will to live.
Only the way the lads battled & played kept our spirits up. Well done lads we’ll sort them next time!
